When was the last time you had Pizza?

If you are a big pizza fan like the popular sitcom character Joey maybe you remember when you had it the last time.

Do you remember the toppings you had on your Pizza last time?

This is an open-ended question and there are two possibilities. Either you remember all of the toppings or you might have forgotten some.

But if you are a die-hard fan of jalapenos like me, you would understand the difference of getting that slice of Pizza with fewer jalapenos on it. The taste surely goes from 10 to 8, right!

Just like the toppings of Pizza, their quantity can change the entire taste of Pizza. Due to this, you choose your toppings wisely, though most of the pizzas taste the same.

The point here we are trying to explain is that, just like all pizzas are the same with a little bit of difference in their toppings, so is the SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

SEO has so many similar versions, but all of them differ from each other in certain aspects. These minute differences can either make or break your website.

Today let us talk about one of the branches of SEO that is not very much known but is of great importance. We are talking about Real Estate SEO or Realtor SEO.

What is Real Estate SEO?

Real Estate SEO is a technique to popularize the real estate websites by showing them higher in Google’s search results pages.

We all know about the top 10 rankings of Google. These are the ten most popular websites displayed on page 1 of Google when a particular keyword is searched.

According to the data published by the National Association of Realtors in 2018, 44% of the people first search online to buy a property as compared to the 1981 report wherein 22% read newspaper ads, and 8% contacted their friends to buy a property. 14,027 homes are sold every day in the US only.

As digitalization continues to grow, more and more people are turning to Google for their needs.

Why Real Estate SEO?

Whether it is as small as finding synonyms or as large as buying a roof for them, be it any industry, if you want your business to reach the target audience, SEO is the key.

With the SEO tactics, you can expand your business. The way it works is like a traditional SEO.

By using appropriate keywords, you can increase awareness regarding your business in the masses and take the lead in the real estate industry.

Whenever a person in dire need of a property will search Google to have some insight, they will type a specific keyword. If that keyword matches the keyword that you have put on your website, the SEO ranks you.

The more the matches, the higher the rank.

Content, reviews, popularity are other factors on which the SEO ranking depends.

As the advancement continues, we also see a surge in the percentage of people of age group 36 above to be spending in the online consultants.

According to the reports, 56% of buyers within age 35 years and 50% above 35 years of age have found their home online.

This data signifies the trust that is building among the people, and they are no longer considering online hotshots as a fraud.

After discussing so much about the real estate SEO and how important it is, let us consider how it is different from the traditional SEO.

We think it is necessary to point out the urgency of creating a real estate website to escalate your business.

Here are five tips that you should follow and understand in order to be able to build a great website.

Build Trust

The first and foremost thing that is to be considered is that the other SEO is not as crucial as the real estate SEO.

The real estate is a big deal. People spend a lot of their savings on it. Nobody buys a house daily.

Most of the population tends to buy a single or maybe two homes in their entire life. Buying a property is not a daily activity like online shopping.

Everybody has different aspirations regarding their house and you must cater to their wishes and demands

When buying a house is such a big deal, then people won’t trust you so easily. They want someone reliable and with a good reputation.

So you need to understand the complexity of it and design your website accordingly.

After all, once they find you trustworthy, they are going to recommend you to their colleagues and friends. So strategize appropriately because this is how your business will grow.

Property is extremely valuable for a person and therefore, gaining his/her trust is a difficult task.

People will tend to rely on newcomers less as they prefer someone who is thoroughly experienced in this field. Therefore, the first thing you should work on is building trust. You can do this by making your UI easy to manage.

If your site takes too long to respond, finding a property will become challenging. Also, if there is no consultant to guide them, nobody will take you seriously.

Growth is Slow

Don’t rush into the business seeking an immediate escalation. The growth in this sector is slow, and you should be patient with it. Focus on giving your customers the best service and wait for the results.

Pick Keywords Wisely

The keywords that you should choose here should be a proper mix of competitive keywords and long keywords.

This is different from the keywords that you use in the standard SEO. Don’t go about taking random competitive keywords and filling them on your website.

You should go for less competitive long keywords when you start. Gradually use more competitive ones as you progress.

This is one of the significant differences that should be kept in mind. You should adequately research your keyword before getting them on your website.

Don’t forget to include your location in the keyword.

Focus on the Content

After selecting the appropriate keywords for your site, you should next focus on the content. The content should be such that it is able to help people.

You should focus on the problems the people are facing and try to give them a solution.

Your content can include the different specifications of the properties along with the mortgage rates. Don’t forget to put on high-quality images of the property so that people can have a proper view of it.

Obviously, aesthetics here matters a lot. You can also post a small video of the house to give a better picture of the property.

Be helpful and supportive. Always remember trust-building is the key.

Maintain Positive Reviews

Reviews are the key to gain the trust of the customers. A single bad review can badmouth you and you will have to pay for each negative remark.

Therefore, take proper care of your customers and always try to make them happy.

One thing that you can also add-in is walk-ins. It is better to let the people talk to your real estate agent face to face rather than chatting online.

Set up a walk-in for them to give them a more detailed description.

Cross-Pollinate

Cross-pollination refers to the act of setting up your account on social media platforms. The website will not do the trick if you are not present on social media.

This is the best way to communicate with people. Building a social media site that links to your website can significantly improve your SEO ranking by making your online presence secure.

You should lay your focus on all the social media handles equally and maintain uniformity among them.

If your website and social media accounts do not match, Google may remove you from SEO rankings, and people may also not find you trustworthy.

So, the best way of getting enough remarks on the web is to focus on all the possible scenarios related to your site.

I hope these tips will help you with your Real Estate Website. Share your thoughts in the comment box below.
